What do you do when you WANNA FEEL CREATIVE, and at THAT VERY MOMENT that you DON'T, or you SORTA DO, but NOT AT THE VERY LEVEL of where stuff's just FLYIN' OUT, AS YOU'RE WRITING? The thing NOT to do, which I STILL do,AT TIMES, is FORCE THE FLOW--OBVIOUSLY, where there's FORCE, there IS NO FLOW--it's JUST AS SIMPLE as it's NOT, at times. I notice that when I IMPULSIVELY wanna deliver that FIRST-TIME-DRIVEN-PUNCHLINE, I DO TEND, although NOT ALWAYS, even though I AM impulsive, DEPENDING ON THE LEVEL OF MY IMPULSIVITY, to get VERBALLY CLUMSY--like an OVERZEALOUS WARRIOR, feverishly aiming at the VERY TARGET, God help you, should you miss, as it may seem to look.

Never, ever force it. If the writing seems not to flow, and you feel a need to force, just get up, walk around, get your mind into something else for awhile and come back to it. Writing, like all art forms, cannot be forced.
